MAFIN is a “social asset” linked to the local area with capital at the service of business activities acting with a long-term perspective.
This led to the conception of the 20 + 20 Strategy, which is embodied in the following guidelines:
– be there today and in the future to represent a certain and constant point of reference for the customer
– make the choices that offer the best chance for the company to be there in 20 years to “do what it knows how to do”, in the ways that will be appropriate but, even then, with a perspective of another 20 years
We care about the environment
Our concern for the environment is expressed through our commitment to offer future generations the opportunity to enjoy nature and the environment as widely and, if possible, better than we are doing today. Compliance with current regulations is accompanied by the use of the best technologies available on the market.
The use of water in production processes, whether heated or cooling, is managed in closed loop systems.
The raw materials used by MAFIN are virgin and renewable by their very nature;
Overall, more than half of the packaging used consists of recycled materials.
In order to continue our decarbonisation efforts, MAFIN purchases electricity generated entirely from renewable sources.
Cardboard waste has decreased by 75% in the last 10 years.
In the last years the creation of unusable waste has almost been totally eliminated
Pollution in terms of carbon production has decreased dramatically: -62%
In recent years, plastic consumption has been progressively reduced: -28%
In the last 16 years MAFIN has improved its energy efficiency by 45%* (* per € of revenue)
All the utilized paper is certified FSC MIX
Wood consumption has been reduced by 50% in the last 6 years. All the utilized wood is mainly PEFC.
